(PLYMOUTH, MA) Plymouth South High School (PSHS) had the honor of hosting renowned primatologist and conservationist Dr. Jane Goodall for a memorable visit on Monday, September 25, 2023. After her visit, PSHS revealed the exciting news via social media with photos and details of her visit.

Dr. Jane Goodall was there to speak about her Roots & Shoots program. Roots & Shoots is the Jane Goodall Institute's youth program, which educates and empowers the younger generation to affect positive change within their own communities. The presentation provided an opportunity for students to gain valuable insights from a true pioneer in the field. The Facebook page for the program went on to share photos from the event, and more details about the visit, explaining:

"Dr. Jane Goodall spoke to 450 students in person and 1000 more via livestream yesterday in #Plymouth , MA at Plymouth South High School ! She shared her inspiring story, talked about Roots & Shoots, and answered students’ burning questions, and at the end of the day, PSHS Principal Patty Fry reflected, “I deeply appreciate Dr. Goodall’s ability to connect with high school students and encourage them to follow their dreams.” After, our friends at The Farmhouse - Plymouth, MA introduced Dr. Jane to the school’s student TV group, Panther TV, and she was interviewed by student Jesse Hayes"
