(MASSACHUSETTS) Becoming a mother is one of the most transformative experiences a woman can go through. It can bring tremendous joy, but it can also cause loneliness, stress, and self-doubt. Massachusetts resident Elizabeth Jablon knows this firsthand.
"When I became a mom, I didn't know what I was doing," she says. "I was deep in the postpartum fog, lonely at home all day, awake all night stress googling."
But then, Elizabeth found a Moms Group, and everything changed. "Finding a Moms Group and connecting with other moms changed everything," she explains. "I found that I wasn't alone in the things I was experiencing. I had a place to ask real people questions, instead of Google. And every time I went to a group, I walked out a more confident mother."
Elizabeth's experience was so transformative that, four years later, she became a Certified Postpartum Doula and started hosting Moms Groups herself. "I wanted to give back to other moms what I had received," she says.
As a Postpartum Doula, Elizabeth helps new moms adjust to life with a baby. She provides practical support like helping with breastfeeding, diapering, and soothing techniques. But perhaps more importantly, she offers emotional support and a listening ear.
Elizabeth's Moms Groups are a safe, supportive space where new moms can connect with one another, share their experiences, and get advice from someone who has been through it all. "If you are the mom of a baby 0-11 months old, I would love for you to join us," she says.
For Elizabeth, being a Postpartum Doula and Moms Group host isn't just a job - it's a calling. "I know how hard it can be to be a new mom," she says. "But I also know how amazing it can be. My goal is to support new moms and help them find the joy in this incredible, transformative experience."
