(HANSON, MASSACHUSETTS) Calling all local animal lovers and yogis alike! Are you looking for a new and unique way to experience yoga? If so, you’re in luck! A local farm has announced that their popular goat yoga classes will be returning for the 2023 season. Goats bring an element of playfulness and joy to yoga practices, making it a memorable and enjoyable experience you won't want to miss out on!
Where Can You Attend Goat Yoga?
The Red Horse Farm has announced they'll be hosting yoga classes this year! Led by certified yoga instructors Kristina Northrup and Jess Thompson, the caprine vinyasa, or goat yoga session, is designed to be a relaxed form of yoga consisting of various beginner-level poses. The classes are open to yogis of all skill levels, making it a great introduction for those who are new to yoga.
What Do The Goats Do?
The Red Horse Farm explains that during the class, participants are encouraged to pet the goats and interact with them as they move through their practice. However, the goats are known to make the class more challenging (and fun!) by climbing on participants while they’re holding a pose.
It’s important to note that goat yoga is a gentle form of yoga, and the focus is on the experience of being present and mindful in the moment.
When is Goat Yoga Returning?
Goat yoga is set to return to Red Horse Farm starting in April on select Sundays from 8 am to 9 am. The classes will be held outdoors to allow for a closer connection with nature. Attendees are encouraged to bring a towel or yoga mat to practice on.
