Keep the Kids Cool in Marshfield's New Pool & Splash Park!

Dianna Carney

The Boys and Girls Club of Marshfield opened its pool and splash park just over one month ago on June 22nd. In the past few weeks, the nonprofit family center has been offering family and recreational swim, splash park play, lap swim, and water safety instruction classes. Passes are available for purchase online starting at $5 for a daily youth pass, and going up to $150 for a monthly family swim pass.

The Boys and Girls Club of Marshfield reports that safety is always their number one priority. Due to their safety-first approach, rules have been implemented to ensure a safe environment. Visitors under the age of 14 must pass the swim pass, which consists of a 25-yard swim on front and a 1-minute treading session, to access the deep end of the pool.

At this time pool items and toys are not allowed, including floats and noodles. Families can choose to bring their own coast guard-approved life jacket for their child, but for safety reasons at this time families will not be able to bring large recreational water toys.

In addition to open swim/splash pad play hours, The Boys and Girls Club of Marshfield offers a wide range of swim activities for both children and adults to participate in. Some of the offered pool programs include:

  • Red Cross water safety classes
  • Baby/toddler (Ages 8 Weeks - 3 Years) lessons
  • Preschool & school age (Ages 3 - 12 years old) classes

The nonprofit also offers individual lessons, as well as pool party packages.
