Family fall festival at Lewis Farm

GASTONIA, NC – Lewis Farm will hold this year’s Fall Festival on weekends from September 25 to October 13. The farm itself is family-owned and had been established in 1935.

The fall festival includes wagon rides, a fun maze, sheep herding, and blacksmith demonstrations, farm animals feeding, and hay bale ground and slide. The festival will open at 10 a.m. on Saturdays and 1 p.m. on weekends.

Lewis Farm charges $10 for the admission fee. Children aged 2 and under will not be charged. Lewis Farm also offers other activities such as pony rides and pumpkin picking. If you want to visit the farm often, they also have a Season Pass for $25 per person where you can get access to the farm all season long.

The unique thing about this year’s fall festival is the welcoming of a new character called Spookley the Square Pumpkin. Spookley is pictured as a friendly, sweet, and kindhearted character who always finds the best in others. The character is created to celebrate the National Bullying Prevention Month that comes in October. Spookley will be displayed throughout the month at the farm.

Apart from the weekend Fall Festival, Lewis Farm also offers field trips or Fall Festival for students from Wednesday to Friday on September 28 – October 29, 2021. If you have a group of more than 100 children, you can only book a field trip on Fridays.

The admission fee for the field trip costs $12 that includes two and half hours of tour hours with rotating stations and a pumpkin to bring home. Through this trip, children will get the first-hand experience about animals, crops, and farm chores.
