NASHVILLE, TN — Earth Rides is a Nashville-based all-electric ride-hailing app. Earth Rides provides safe, affordable, eco-friendly and premium rides, using only electric fleets.
Raven Hernandez, founder and CEO of Earth Rides, founded the company to improve air quality by using clean technology. She wanted to build a business while making a considerable impact on the environment, especially since Nashville is her hometown.
Users can order the ride on-demand or schedule the ride ahead of time without a surge in price. Earth Rides's drivers are FBI background checked and professionally trained to ensure users' safety using the app.
Earth Rides' effort to provide a reliable and safe transportation option for Intellectually Disabled (ID) community reflects their commitment to equal access for all to clean technology. Drivers on Earth go through training modules to ensure they serve the ID community properly.
Earth Rides also partners with Patagonia Nashville, an outdoor clothing store, to offer on-demand delivery. This partnership allows Patagonia to deliver fast and without any packaging, thus reducing Patagonia's carbon footprint.
Marcus Lemonis, CEO of Camping World and founder of Lemon-AID Foundation, selected Earth Rides as a $25,000 grant recipient in March. Lemon-AID Foundation offers grants to help entrepreneurs, particularly women and minorities, to support their businesses.
The company is currently seeking investment to achieve a $1,000,000 fund goal through Wefunder. Earth Rides has accumulated $758,040 with the purpose mainly to purchase additional vehicles and expand to other cities.
Earth Rides plans to launch in the second city, Austin, in three weeks. The company is also exploring expansion in Texas and Florida markets due to the current use of rideshares, traffic congestions and demographic of residents and tourists.
