NASHVILLE, TN — The VP of Broadcasting for Tennessee Titans, Mike Keith, is sharing his journey with the team. The VP shared memorable moments and influences in his career last week on a Q & A with the Titan’s writer, Jim Wyatt.
Keith started with both of his parents, who are influential in his career. His mother was a journalist who gave him "the journalism gene". And his dad gave him an interest in sports.
The best moment in his career is the “Music City Miracle”. He stated that “it is an honor to be associated [...] with an NFL play so memorable that it has its own name.”
He also treasures his moment of the Titans’ 2019 playoff win at New England. He recalled, “being the team that ended the Brady/Belichick Era in Foxboro is special.” This win was a massive moment for fans who have been waiting for years, he said.
He remembers the team’s 1999 playoff win at Indianapolis. The team had just faced Buffalo Bills with a win in the Music City Miracle game. And It was the team’s first game against Peyton Manning.
Keith’s number one player in the Titans would be Steve McNair. “[He’s] tough, courageous, always up for the big moment.” But he also favors working with a lot of other players, including Kevin Dyson, Jevon Kearse and Eddie George.
Keith was recently honored into the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame's 2021 class on June 26. The induction was presented by the Tennessee Titans and aired for two hours on television. The event is also aired on the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame's multiple social media channels including Twitter, YouTube and Facebook pages.
