NASHVILLE, TN — This Wednesday, June 23, Owen Forward is hosting two Summer Leadership Series.

Owen Forward Summer Leadership series will feature two business leaders and talk about leadership. Join and learn new things from great speakers in these two events:

1. Fireside Speaker Series

This first session of the event is the Fireside Speaker Series from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. CT. In this series, Kelly Goldsmith, professor of Owen Graduate School of Management, will host the Fireside Speaker Series.

The guest speaker for this series is Hubert Joly, a bestselling author and former Best Buy Chairman and CEO. Joly has contributed to changing Best Buy for the better. In the Fireside Speaker Series, he will discuss his new book “The Heart of Business: Leadership Principles for the Next Era of Capitalism”.

2. Women in Leadership

This second session, “Women in Leadership”, will start at 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. CT. Join speaker Kimberly Pace, professor for the practice of communication at Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management co-moderated by Megan Lynch, BA’15, Alumni Association Boston Chapter co-president, and Neema Mehta, MBA’06, global HR business partner at Philips Medical Systems and Owen Alumni Board member.

Through this session, you will learn what it takes to have a position in the C-suite. You will discover tools to create an executive personal brand in the pre-presence, presence, and post-presence from this series. Besides that, you will get to learn seven things to avoid that can sabotage your career.
