NASHVILLE, TN – Beginning November 17, 2021, Contour Airlines will operate a new service from Nashville International Airport to Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport. Contour Airlines will be the first airline to fly nonstop from Nashville to the Upstate of South Carolina.
The new service will run five times each week except Tuesday and Saturday. Contour will use Embraer ERJ-135 and ERJ-145 aircraft with a minimum of 36 inches of seat pitch in every row.
It is equal to the first-class legroom on most domestic trips. Contour's aircraft also have no middle seats, allowing for more room between passengers.
Matt Chaifetz, CEO of Contour, is thrilled to announce the new service. “I know that travelers will appreciate the speed, comfort, and convenience of nonstop air service," He said. Chaifetz believes business travellers will benefit from the opportunity to replace full-day drives with an hour-long trip.
Seven major airlines service Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport in 2020. Customers and Airports Council International named GSP the Best Airport in North America in the 2-5 million passenger category in the same year.
Doug Kreulen, president and CEO of Nashville International Airport, appreciates the commitment shown by Countour to help build the region's travel business. “This new non-stop service is outstanding news for two great cities and two great airports," He said.
Contour Airlines was established in 1982 and provides a quality, low-cost airline service that includes a free first checked bag as well as food and beverage service. Contour has an expanding fleet of Embraer regional aircraft with leather seating and more legroom in every row.
