NASHVILLE, TN - The Friends of Fairview Public Library is holding a big book sale on the last weekend of August. The Friends believe that book lovers in Williamson County will contribute to one of the biggest and best sales yet from Fairview Public Library.
The book sale is scheduled for Thursday to Saturday, from Aug. 26-28. the Book Sale Chair Gerald Suchomski said that there will be more than 7,000 titles from recent releases and popular authors, from bestsellers to classic books. You can find any genre from romance, mystery, history, or anything that you like for as low as $3 and they will always be on sale. The Friends will also have children's books and DVDs at this sale.
This sale can be held due to the hard work of the Friends who held two donation days. In those donation days, the Friends' patrons can donate books that they collected during the stay-at-home period, so the collections that will be on sale are a lot and diverse.
The Friends of Fairview Public Library have held this book sale twice a year since 2008, but last year's got canceled due to pandemic. This is an effort from the volunteer group to benefit Fairview Public Library via fundraising. The money that they raised from this sale will be used for the library's programs and the library can use it for other needs.
If you want to visit the big book sale and look for some books to be added to your collection at home, you can visit them from Aug. 26-28 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday at Fairview Public Library, 2240 Fairview Boulevard.
