NASHVILLE, TN - One of the Tennessee Titans' newest addition, John Simon, spoke to the media after the first practice of training camp. The veteran linebacker feels that this is a new challenge and he is ready to seize it.

Simon was signed by the Titans just three days before training camp started. He has spent his NFL career with the Baltimore Ravens, Indianapolis Colts, Houston Texans, and recently three years with the New England Patriots. In total, Simon has spent eight years in the NFL, played in 97 career games.

Tennessee's first day of training camp was the first chance Simon got to familiarize himself with his teammates and the coaches. "We've got a good team here, and I am happy to be a part of it. I am just trying to come in, day in and day out, and try and earn their respect and get to work a little bit." said Simon wearing no. 59 in today's practice. He is determined to show the guys in the team that he want to win, and he will do whatever it takes to help the team win.

Simon has a little bit of history with Titans head coach, Mike Vrabel. They previously worked together during their time at Ohio State University and Houston Texans. "I have a tremendous amount of respect for Mike," Simon said. "I know how demanding he is, and I appreciate that kind of work ethic, and I wanted to be a part of it."

Vrabel has high expectations for his newest pass-rusher. He expects Simon to come in and compete every single day. "I coached John in college, had an opportunity to coach him in Houston, and we made the decision to bring him in here. I am sure he will compete at outside linebacker and special teams just like the rest of those guys in that group. the coach said.
