NASHVILLE, TN - The Nashville Sounds fails to win the series finale against the Louisville Bats. The Sounds only score 2 runs on a 4-2 loss on Sunday night in First Horizon Park. They split the six-game series with the Sounds winning the first three games, and the Bats win the last three.

The Sounds never taste a lead in this game. Falling 2-0 in the fourth inning from Narcisco Crook's double, the Sounds were only able to get closer to a 1-run game from Luke Maile's double that drove home Dustin Peterson, and finished the fourth inning with 2-1 score line.

The Bats then score two more runs in the fifth and sixth inning, while the Sounds only managed to score one run in the fifth. The game went scoreless for the rest of the innings due to brilliant performance from both bullpens.

Today was not the day for Nashville's starting pitcher Alec Bettinger. Bettinger allowed season-high of earned run, with all 4 Bats' run was earned to Bettinger. The Bats also got 9 hits off Bettinger, which also Bettinger's season high for allowed hits.

On a more positive side, Dustin Peterson got three hits today, only the second game he did this in 2021. Last time he had a three-hits game was against Gwinnett Strippers on May 19. The bullpen arms also showed positive performance, as Chad Sobotka, Quintin Torres-Costa and Eric Yardley all pitched for three scoreless innings.

Nashville Sounds will begin a new series against the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimps, starting on Tuesday Night. Starter Blaine Hardy (3-4, 3.69 ERA) is scheduled to start for the Sounds.
