NASHVILLE, TN - The Kings are back in Nashville as they are stepping for the upcoming tour "When You See Yourself" with Cold War Kids at Ascend Amphitheater on August 12-13. The Nashville alternative group Kings of Leon, has recently released tour dates celebrating their latest album When You See Yourself. The tour is held from August - October in more than 20 cities, including Nashville.
Formed in 1999 by Followill siblings; Caleb Followill on lead vocals and rhythm guitar Jared Followill on bass, Matthew Followill on lead guitar, and Nathan Followill on drums, percussion.
Kings of Leon are created through the influence of country, southern rock, and blues sounds.
During their musical career, Kings of Leon has released eight studio albums and several hit-singles as Use Somebody, Radioactive, The Bandits, Wait for Me, Sex on Fire, and much more. The band had also achieved several awards as Best International Group and Best International Album at Brit Award in 2009, as well as Record of the Year and Best Rock Song at Grammy Awards in 2010. Their latest album, When You See Yourself released in 2021 was recorded at Blackbird Studios Nashville.
Long Beach Indie Rock Cold War Kids was formed in 2004, consisting of Nathan Willett on vocals, Matt Maust on bass, Joe Plummer on drums, Matthew Schwartz on keyboards, and David Quon on guitar. Their music is a mixed combination of blues-rock and indie rock, taken influences from several names as Nick Cave, Led Zeppelin, U2, and Tom Waits. Cold War Kids has released nine studio albums with their upcoming release New Age Norms 3 scheduled this September. Some notable pieces from Cold War Kids are What You Say, Hange Me Up to Dry, Love is Mystical, First, and So Tied Up.
