Beginning April 5, several businesses in New York won’t have to abide by the state’s 11 p.m. curfew imposed. Restaurants and bars, however, will still have to stick to the curfew for now.

In a conference call with reporters, Cuomo said curfews on casinos, movie theaters, bowling alleys, billiards halls, gyms, and fitness centers will be lifted on April 5. The change will not include restaurants or bars, but the governor said those are likely to come next month.

"New York is moving forward with reopening our economy and looking forward to a post-COVID world," Cuomo said. "As we reopen and an increasing number of New Yorkers receive their vaccines, it is more important than ever to continue practices we know that stop the spread of COVID-19."

There are different reopening rules for each business. But in general, less than 50% capacity, masks, and space between people are mandatory in all businesses.

Covid-19 hospitalizations in New York fell 88% on Wednesday to 4,536. It is expected that with the vaccine, cases continue to decrease and the government decides to open more businesses.

What you can do to reactivate the economy in your city.

With business reopening and the flexibilities in the schedule, it's now easier to get out there and support a local business. Faced with this crisis, small businesses have suffered a lot and many of them have had to close permanently. The revival of the city will depend on all of us.

For this, at least once a month you can start going out and enjoy some business. Now there are more options: You can go to dinner at a restaurant, order food at home, go to the cinema to see a movie or go back to doing your exercise routine at the gym.

In addition, you can also share your experience on social networks so that others are also encouraged to participate in this dynamic. Many people have not wanted to leave because of fear or because they do not know the protocols that are used in different businesses.

This is one more step to get back to normal. I believe that obeying the protocols and participating in these activies is an opportunity to change the atmosphere of the house and work alone and have other places to breathe and be with friends.
