Tandoori chicken is often served with naan bread, rice, salad, and mint chutney. It can also be used to make other dishes, such as chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, or wraps. Tandoori chicken is a versatile and delicious dish that can be enjoyed by everyone.
Today I'm going to share with you one of my favorite recipes: tandoori chicken kababs. These are juicy, tender, and flavorful pieces of chicken marinated in a spicy yogurt sauce and grilled to perfection. They are perfect for a summer barbecue or a cozy dinner at home. Plus, they are super easy to make and only require a few ingredients.
Tandoori Chicken Kababs
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons garam masala
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon ginger powder
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
- Wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes
Directions:
1. Cut boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large ziplock bag.
2. In a small bowl, whisk together yogurt, lemon juice, garlic, ginger, salt, pepper, cumin, coriander, turmeric, paprika, and garam masala. This is your tandoori marinade.
3. Pour the marinade over the chicken and seal the bag. Massage the bag to coat the chicken well and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or up to overnight.
4. When you are ready to cook, preheat your grill or broiler and soak some wooden skewers in water for 15 minutes.
5. Thread the chicken pieces onto the skewers, leaving some space between them. Discard any leftover marinade.
6. Grill or broil the kabobs for about 15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and charred in spots.
7. Serve hot with some cilantro, lemon wedges, and naan bread. Enjoy!
