The Celtics then widened the gap to 11 points with a score of 98-88 and only 4 minutes and 56 seconds remaining. Despite being 10 points behind, the Miami Heat didn't give up. They made a strong effort and managed to reduce the deficit to 100-102.

With less than three seconds remaining, Jimmy Butler of the Miami Heat had a chance for three free throws after being fouled by Al Horford while attempting a three-point shot. With remarkable composure, Butler successfully made all three free throws, changing the score to 103-102 in favor of the Heat.

However, the Celtics had one final offensive play. Derrick White made a clutch shot as the buzzer sounded, securing a 104-103 victory for the Celtics.
