Yes, America, today Former President Donald Trump pled guilty to all charges. He returns to court in December of 2023. And with that being seven months away, it will likely suck up all of the media oxygen, leaving very little room for the severe issues facing our country today.
For this, let me be the first to apologize. However, I will guarantee that not only myself, but many others in the media will give you the news you need to keep you updated on your country, however you must be made aware the next seven months may keep a consistent focus on Mr. Trump.
Today, as Donald Trump was the focus of almost all media, given the allegations we are all aware of, our country didn't stop. And as this case continues, our country will not come to some stand-still, resolving its issues independently. I write this with no disrespect to the former President or any legal counsel on both sides and as I will remain unbiased, reporting the news as it unfolds. However, this will include the homeless issue in our country, the opioid crisis, crime, inflation, corruption, stories of goodness, and stories that make a difference. Unfortunately, the news cannot stop with the current situation within the political and judicial system.
Today, as Mr. Trump walked in and out the courtroom, which I realize is history in the making, and newsworthy, it was reported a Riverside, CA man was arrested in the shooting death of a woman in Woodcrest, CA Her name was Isabella Ruiz of Riverside. Isabella Ruiz probably has family, people who care about her, and are grieving. The public must be informed of this homicide.
According to ABC News, today, America's Heartland is bracing for another Tornado outbreak days after severe storms killed dozens of people. A significant storm moving east on Tuesday is expected to produce another severe weather outbreak in the Midwest, mid-South, and Great Lakes, bringing strong, long-track tornadoes, damaging winds, and large hail. More than 95 million Americans are on alert for these severe weather conditions. Cities in the bull's-eye include Little Rock, Arkansas, Springfield, Missouri, and Davenport and Des Moines, Iowa, forecasts show.
Today, USA Facts show over 400k homeless people over 24 years old, with over 100k under 18. According to the National Alliance to End Homelessness, only a 2022 edition is available now. Populations at risk are significantly tied to gender, race, and ethnicity. Males are far more likely to experience Homelessness than their female counterparts. Today, Homelessness is still a serious issue with no absolute resolution.
The opioid epidemic is still rising, with no objective evidence of controlling it. Overdoses have significantly increased since 2013, involving synthetic opioids, particularly fentanyl. In addition, the market for illicitly manufactured fentanyl continues to change, and it can be found in combination with heroin, counterfeit pills, and cocaine.
Today, the first day of significant reporting on Former President Donald Trump's legal issues, important issues remain and should be covered as resolve, statistics, and world and community news unfold. But, unfortunately, you, the people, will begin to see a drop in such stories as much of the focus is predicted to be on our Former President.
However, we, the media, who realizes the world has not stopped turning, will keep you in the know, raise awareness, and report on issues imperative to the good of our country.
