Another Mexican Restaurant

I love Mexican food. Therefore, I take every opportunity I can to eat at a different restaurant. This time we chose Agave Azul Cocina Mexicana on 5855 Winter Garden Vineland Road #100 in Windermere. We had eaten at Agave Azul Cocina Mexicana in Orlando several times before and were always content. The last time could have easily been about 7 years ago. So why not go for it again?

What can I say about Agave Azul Cocina Mexicana?

There’s little information about Agave Azul Cocina Mexicana. They first opened in 1998 and currently have four locations: Orlando, Winter Park, Winter Springs, and Windermere. It is a family-owned and operated restaurant serving traditional food with a modern twist.

Unexpected Decor

I love the atmosphere, which is always vibrant. The decor is not like the typical Mexican restaurant. It is mostly a modern decor with hints of traditional Mexican features. Agave Azul Cocina Mexicana also has a full bar for social gatherings, and outdoor dining, too.

What to Expect?

As with many other Mexican restaurants, you get a serving of chips and salsa to start off with. Their chips are crisp, fresh, warm, and not salty or greasy. We ordered Tacos Al Pastor dinner that included 3 corn tortillas, pineapple adobo pork, onions, and cilantro with a side of Mexican rice, refried beans, and salsa. All that for only $15.50! And let me tell you, the portions are generous.

It has a Full Bar Too!

Agave Azul Cocina Mexicana has a variety of specialty drinks for all tastes. Colorful, creative, and tasty margaritas and cocktails complement their foods well. They also have beers and wines – whatever you like, you’ll find in their full bar.

Oh, What a Sweet Ending

For dessert, nothing like their churros. Freshly warm churros covered in cinnamon sugar and a side of warm caramel to dip the churros in – delicious. Of course, nothing like the ones we had in Spain.

A Superb Service Indeed

I will admit the service was great. , but it was around 1:00 p.m. Could the time have made a difference? Friendly and knowledgeable, engaging staff tending to our needs in a timely manner. To all those Mexican food lovers, don’t forget to visit one of their four Agave Azul Cocina Mexican Restaurants in the Central Florida area.
