We See More Deer, Wildlife and Nature with Fewer People on This Kennesaw Trail at Kennesaw Mountain

We enjoy early weekday morning walks at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park, especially in some of the less-visited areas. While most visitors hike the main trail or road to the peak of Kennesaw Mountain, we often head to the Noses Creek Trail. Entering from the Pigeon Hill parking lot off Burnt Hickory Road, this section follows a wide trail shared by walkers, runners and equestrians. A variety of narrow and winding side trails offer more diversity in terrain, and a better opportunity to spot wildlife. We often spot deer along these trails. For history lovers, the trails include informational signs about troop placements, other preparations and the Civil War battle fought here. The park is dog friendly, though pets should always be kept on a leash according to park regulations.
