New York City's famous Emmy Squared Pizza is making its way to Santa Monica. The Detroit-styled, extra cheesy pepperoni shop from New York City is planning on making its grand opening at the end of July 2022.
For the past decade, if not more, Emmy Squared has become one of New York City's most famous pizzerias. Although, they also sell plenty of more delicacies such as cheesy bread, chicken parmesan sandwiches, Impossible meatballs for the vegans out there, and something they like to call The Big Matt, a double-patty burger that is a huge fan favorite for a good reason.
Owners Matt and Emily Hyland have been able to quickly expand from their original Brooklyn location to the upper East Side when they first started, and as of 2019, there are now numerous locations of Emmy Squared. You can find them in Tennessee, Georgia, Virginia, North AND South Carolina, and even Abu Dhabi. They also ship their products nationwide, and now finally, they're opening up the very first location on the West Coast, and it'll be in the heart of downtown Santa Monica.
You'll find Emmy Squared inside of Santa Monica Brew Works, which is a longtime Westside brewery at 1920 Colorado Avenue. The plan is for Emmy Squared to operate at a smaller scale inside, working with 1,000 square feet, which will include the order bar, kitchen. So mostly, it'll consist of takeout and delivery during the day due to the lack of seating for larger groups; however, there will be on-site dining in the evenings across Brew Work's beer garden and brewery space.
You can expect Emmy Squared to open at 1920 Colorado Avenue in Santa Monica by the end of July, with on-site dining starting at 5 p.m.
