Santa Barabara is one of the best and most fun places you can come to. It's a college-filled town with plenty of activities to do like kayaking, surfing, paddle-boarding, and most importantly: eating incredible food.

Here are a few spots you absolutely must try on your next visit to Santa Barbara.

Hotel dining isn't always great, but Caruso's gets it perfect every time. It's located inside the Rosewood Miramar Beach hotel in Montecito and it serves southern Italian food in the most scenic environment. You'll find house-made pastas here that will have you coming back for more.

Tondi Gelato:

This is a husband and wife-owned gelato shop and it whips up new batches of vegan or full creamed gelato that come in the best flavors like salted caramel, potent espresso, dark chocolate, and pistachio.

Bibi Ji:

A modern Indian spot Bibi Ji that is popular with the locals and tourists who come to State Street. The menu is eclectic and moves from street food snacks to curries as well as more composed plates from the grill with a vast variety of local wines to pair with.

Test Pilot:

An incredible cocktail bar that reopened in January with its standard bounty of lesser-known rums and amiable staff. Come here after dinner for a sweet taste of summer served in a specialty mug, and for a seat at the fun bar. It’s tucked away and a tiki lover’s dream.

Loquita Santa Barbara:

This spot is all about Spanish influences. Take in the colorful tiles to the tapas menu. Come in here during the weekend and you'll be hit with the scent and sounds of paella coming from the kitchen. Try a plate of croquettes and pair with sangria. This is the best place to spend a warm Santa Barbara evening.

Toma Restaurant & Bar:

You won't be able to decide what's better, the views or the food. Both are spectacular. Imagine yourself sitting waterfront here, enjoying Mediterranean food like grilled octopus, roasted lamb meatballs, and cioppino.

Little Dom's Seafood:

A sister restaurant that focuses on seafood in Downtown Carpinteria. This spot has old-school vibes with leather seats and a gorgeous wood bar that serves incredible drinks. Try the oysters from the cold bar and if they have gumbo, get it right away.
