Breakfast tacos, despite their tastiness, have been somewhat elusive at fast-food establishments. Taco Bell's breakfast offerings, for example, do not include tacos, and while Del Taco provides a few options, the selection can become monotonous.
Dunkin' has stepped up to address this deficiency, announcing that breakfast tacos will be added to its menu, which currently features coffee and donuts, beginning March 22.
A press release indicates that the new menu addition was inspired by spring flavors.
Each taco will consist of a flour tortilla filled with scrambled eggs, white cheddar cheese, roasted corn, and lime crema, making them suitable for vegetarians.
For those desiring more protein, bacon can be added to the tacos.
Dunkin' already offers a Wake-Up Wrap, which includes egg, cheese, and meat in a flour tortilla, resembling a small quesadilla.
However, the breakfast tacos represent the chain's initial venture into taco territory.
Dunkin's Tasty Tacos Can Be Savored Anytime
Dunkin's press release, dated March 22, reveals that each order of their new breakfast tacos will be presented in a custom-made, Dunkin'-branded taco holder. As shown in a Dunkin' Instagram post, the holder is designed to enable customers to enjoy their meal on the move without spilling any content.
Although the breakfast tacos are intended to jumpstart the day, Dunkin's Chief Marketing Officer, Jill McVicar Nelson, stated that they "can be enjoyed any time of the day—not just for breakfast." This means that customers can indulge in the tacos as a midday treat as well.
Eager fans won't have to wait long to sample the new breakfast offering. It has already started on March 22. Go grab one at participating locations.
