One top Republican says she is launching another legal challenge to the results of the 2022 midterm election, continuing her battle in the courts to try and overturn the results of that election despite repeated losses in her previous cases.
Now, however, Kari Lake claims that she has new evidence that the Republican firebrand says adds a new layer to her case regarding election fraud in her failed bid for Arizona governor.
Lake Says New Evidence to be Brought in Case
Speaking to the conservative TV network Real America’s Voice, Lake says that her lawyers have filed a "notice for appeal," restating her repeated phrase that she will "never back down" in her ongoing battle to prove that there was election fraud in her 2022 loss to Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs.
“We are not stopping,” Lake added. “I will never back down. That election was stolen from the people and there will be no way that I back down from that. I just won’t, because it’s wrong, what happened.”
Lake has of course repeatedly claimed that the 2022 election was stolen, echoing former President Donald Trump's claims about the 2020 election that he lost to President Joe Biden. Lake, who has aligned herself with Trump throughout her campaign and ever since underwent several court battles to try to prove misconduct in the election, none of which have been successful.
Many of the claims focus on ballot counting in Maricopa County, where Lake says there were several issues with machines tallying the ballots. Election officials have repeatedly denied any misconduct and that all those who wanted to vote at the polling stations were eventually able to.
