Top Republican Eyeing Presidential Campaign Announcement Soon as Field Continues to Grow

Daily News Now

One of the top names rumored to be considering entering their hat into the 2024 Republican presidential primary is reportedly eyeing an announcement for their campaign in the coming weeks as the GOP field continues to grow.

The Republican field bidding for the party's nomination in 2024 has continued to grow ever since former President Donald Trump was the first major player to announce his campaign late last year, with every week seemingly adding a new face to an already crowded poster.

New Face to Enter the GOP Race

Former Vice President Mike Pence will reportedly be looking to start off his campaign with an event next week, according to those familiar with Pence's plans for the race. His team is reportedly checking off the final boxes for the campaign's launch, which would add him to an already crowded field.

That field currently includes the presumptive favorites in Trump and Ron DeSantis but also has notable names such as Nikki Haley, Asa Hutchinson, Vivek Ramaswamy, and Tim Scott.

Pence is expected to focus heavily on the Iowa primary to get an early bolster to his case and criticisms of Trump, but will be competing with several others in the race that are looking to use the early primaries as a sort of litmus test as to whether their campaign has any traction moving forward and if they could build on some sort of success in their first real shot at a national profile.
