A new update has been given on one famed actress' hospitalization in Los Angeles, California after she was admitted to the hospital over a week ago following what appeared to have been a psychiatric episode.
The Update:
Actress Amanda Bynes, best known for her childhood roles and appearances on Nickelodeon, will remain in the hospital, according to TMZ, as she continues to receive treatment following a harrowing few days that saw her wandering the streets of Los Angeles before finally being found near downtown L.A. wearing no clothing after flagging down a vehicle and seeking help.
Bynes, who was placed on a psychiatric hold after being admitted, will reportedly remain in the hospital to undergo further treatment for at least another week. TMZ reported that she is not talking to any of those close to her.
Bynes' Mental Health:
The popular actress has faced numerous struggles with mental health over the course of her life, as well as problems with substance abuse. It was only a little over a year ago when Bynes was released from a nine-year conservatorship with her parents after she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder.
The conservatorship was terminated after both Bynes and her parents stated they believed her condition had improved enough to allow for it to end. It is unclear if this most recent incident could lead to another conservatorship for the acclaimed actress.
