Convicted Felon Arrested Following Discovery of Firearms, Over 900 MDMA Pills and More in Valdosta

A convicted felon was recently taken back into custody in Valdosta after investigators discovered multiple illegal items in his home, including four firearms, over 900 MDMA pills, and more.

According to Valdosta Police Department officials, the unit, in assistance with the Power Squad Unit and the K-9 Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1500 block of Baymeadows Drive in Valdosta.

During the search, investigators discovered and seized four handguns, approximately 8 grams of MDMA powder, 957 MDMA pills, approximately 135.5 grams of cocaine, 16 Tramadol pills, 135.5 grams of marijuana, U.S. currency, and other items connected to narcotic sales, per officials.

As a result, the suspect, 30-year-old Davanti Yearby, was transported to the Lowndes County Jail and booked on two charges of trafficking, possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance with the intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, four counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of drug-related objects.
