But there are ways to cut spending and increase ROI. Because let’s be honest, no one wants to spend $20k for a $21k return on ads.

Here are some cheap ways you can market your E-Commerce site.

Drum roll, please….

SEO and Listing Optimization

Each product page is an opportunity to engage and lead to a sale in an online store.

Your product listings can reach two critical goals.

First, you must tell your story and define your voice in each listing. Companies able to make their voice heard in their product listing make life easier. It brings clarity to every potential customer. Communicating who you are can significantly affect your potential to sell.

It’s time-consuming, but many websites don’t take advantage of the product listing.

It’s a great place to share your why and point of view.

Second, optimize your listing for SEO. Take time to update your SEO and ensure that your site is optimized for the best backlinks.

For some reason, many sites don’t try to do this. It’s often easier to have a flashy listing than one optimized for storytelling and SEO.

Video Ads

High-quality video ads can go a long way. But make sure you take the time to script your video.

As with any ad, use the AIDA (Attention, Interest, Decision, and Action) process to create engaging ads.

The first step is getting attention from your audience and capturing it.

Find a way to do something out of the ordinary. Flip an image or use a high pace — anything to engage the viewer.

Next, touch on an interest. Here you identify the pain points. Then you come in with the benefit you are offering. If done right, you will keep a viewer engaged.

Now bring a decision if you are solving a problem. It’s time to get the viewer to the point of decision.

Let’s solve a problem.

When you get here, you have to make an action easy. Ways to do so can be an opt-in, 1-click checkout, or a calendar link (big ticket).

Organic Reach

Organic reach is a little more involved, but it requires high-quality content. This content can be in the form of a freebie, a discount, or a promotion.

Connecting with your purpose is a great way to create organic reach. Find what your brand stands for and find ways to elevate those ideas.

For instance, if your eCommerce brand is in women’s wellness. Try to find a charity aligned with your mission. Find a way to support the cause and connect it with your brand.

It’s an authentic way to reach your audience and align your brand with a mission that transcends.

Those are three ways to market your eCommerce website. If you have any more ideas, please share.
