New Candle Shop Opens in Madison

Crystal Jackson

Catherine Ann's Candle Company has been around since 2019, but it just opened in Madison on April 3rd across from Town Park and beside the James Madison Inn. Walking in the store, I was greeted by a friendly face and the intoxicating fragrance of Catherine Ann's scented candles. As I browsed through the store, I decided to take home two very different scents: Breakfast N' Cartoons and Fuzzy Peach.

The first candle smelled exactly like Fruity Pebbles--and nearly transported me back to Saturday morning cartoons in my pajamas. The second candle might be my new favorite. I burned it for a couple of hours one day. Two days later, my entire living room still smelled like ripe summer peaches. I'll be sure to return for more--and not just because of the frequent shopper reward card I was given with my purchase, although it's a bonus.

These all-natural hand-poured candles are made with soy wax and natural essential oils. They are 100% vegan, 100% eco-friendly, and 100% recyclable. They burn for approximately 30 hours, and each candle comes with care and safety tips. They come in a variety of scents. Here are just a few:

  • Clean Cotton
  • Date Night
  • Pucker Up
