This recipe provides 12 heaping cups of popcorn.
Equipment and ingredients.
- Electric hot air popcorn machine.
- Large bowl to accommodate 12 cups of popcorn.
- Small saucepan.
- Four small bowls to hold three heaping cups of popcorn each.
- 1/2 cup of white popcorn kernels.
- 1/8 teaspoon of salt.
- 1/4 cup of butter.
Step 1
Melting the butter:
- Melt butter in a small saucepan on medium to low. A saucepan is easier to control the melting process. (Careful to avoid burning the butter.)
- Keep butter hot when pouring over popcorn.
- Swirl the pan frequently to keep the melted butter evenly mixed and ready to pour.
Step 2
Creating the popcorn:
- Fill hot air popcorn machine with popcorn kernels. Put the bowl in place.
- Turn on the machine.
- Let 1/3 of popped corn pour into the bowl.
- Quickly sprinkle 1/8 teaspoon of salt over popcorn.
