(Colorado Springs, CO) A beautiful swarm of butterflies and dragonflies will land on the front lawn of the Colorado Springs Pioneer Museum (215 S. Tejon Street) on Friday.
The colorful garden-sized sculptures, crafted by local artists, will be auctioned off at the Colorado Springs Rotary Club gala in late September.
Until then, the art will be downtown for all to enjoy.
The 2023 butterfly and dragonfly grand reveal is September 1st, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. outside the Colorado Springs Pioneer Museum. The free event will have live music, opportunities to meet the artists, and the first peek at this year's flight.
Guests can also purchase $10 raffle tickets for the chance to win a butterfly sculpture.
Petite butterflies will be displayed at the Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region (COPPeR building), next door to the museum.
The stunning art will be on display until September 23rd.
