(Colorado Springs, CO) It's graduation week for the United States Air Force Academy, which means the Thunderbirds are coming!
Since 1959, the Thunderbirds have concluded the Air Force Academy's graduation ceremony with a spectacular flyover and aerial demonstration. The talented pilots put on a thrilling show to celebrate the new graduates.
Graduation is Thursday, June 1st, and the Thunderbirds will perform from approximately 12:15 to 1:00 p.m., directly following the ceremony.
The best viewing spot is in Falcon Stadium, but if you don't have a graduation ticket, you can enjoy the show from several other locations.
The Western Museum of Mining
The Western Museum of Mining is just outside the Air Force Academy's north gate, a prime location for watching the Thunderbirds. On June 1st from 10:00 to 2:00, the museum will host "Picnic and Planes."
For $5 per car, you can enjoy lunch while watching the show from the museum grounds.
Bring chairs, blankets, and a picnic lunch, or purchase food from the Little Bears Sloppy Joes & Ice Cream Float food truck.

Scheels
Scheels will host an "Air Force Thunderbirds Watch Party" on June 1st from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the southwest parking lot.
The event is free and there will be food, games, entertainment, prizes, and giveaways.

The Church at Briargate
The Church at Briargate will open its parking lot to the public from 11:00 to 2:00 on June 1st for the Thunderbird show. There is no charge, and the church will offer free lunch at 11:30 a.m.
