(Colorado Springs, CO) The mind, body, and spiritual practice of yoga is a relaxing way to start the weekend. It is especially nice in a beautiful courtyard setting surrounded by outdoor art.

On Saturday, April 30th, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center has a special "pop-up" yoga class. All experience levels are welcome, and participants can enjoy the museum for free following the session.

The class, led by Misty Banta, will be held in the Fine Arts Center courtyard, a lovely, relaxing area with beautiful art. There is a suggested donation of $10. Space is limited, so please reserve your spot in advance here.

Please bring a yoga mat. Water is allowed in the courtyard but not in the museum galleries.

Location: 30 West Dale Street, Colorado Springs

Garden of the Gods

Garden of the Gods Park also offers Saturday morning yoga most weeks from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The class this Saturday, April 30th, still has space available.

The yoga instructor is LeAnne Carrouth, and the session is appropriate for all experience levels. The cost is $10 per person.

The class will meet outside in the Chuckwagon Pavilion off of Parking Lot 2 in the Central Garden. Yoga in the Garden is a perfect opportunity to enjoy the stunning scenery while exercising the mind and body. Go here to register.

If you can't make it this week, another class will meet next Saturday.

For those attending class on April 30th, allow plenty of extra time. It is "Motorless Morning" at Garden of the Gods Park, and Parking Lot 2 will not be available. From the Visitor Center parking lot, it is a twenty-minute walk to the pavilion.

Virtual Yoga

The Pikes Peak Library District (PPLD) offers free virtual yoga classes every Saturday from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m.

Svetlana Nudelman, a local yoga instructor, leads the class, and it is appropriate for both beginner and intermediate levels. The session is free, but pre-registration is necessary for the Zoom link. There is still space available for the session on Saturday, April 30th. You can register here.

Since virtual classes are portable, take your laptop outside and enjoy a yoga class in the backyard!

Yoga is a practice that is beneficial for all ages and ability levels. This weekend, take advantage of the beautiful spring weather and do some yoga outside. It doesn't get much better than that.

I'll see you there!
