(Colorado Springs, CO) It's that time again - the first Friday of the month.
In April, there are "First Friday" events happening in both downtown Colorado Springs and Old Colorado City.
First Friday Downtown
First Friday Downtown is a monthly event in downtown Colorado Springs featuring art, music, and special events that are free and open to the public.
There will be at least twenty-one featured venues on April 1st. The official hours are 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., but these may vary by location.
A few of the featured events are:
Cottonwood Center for the Arts
From 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., visitors can explore two floors of open studios and galleries, including a unique fruitless exhibition.
Cacao Chemistry
Between the hours of 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., this shop will have live demonstrations and chocolate samples. The featured artists are Laurel Bahe and Lorraine Danzo.
Kinship Landing
The featured artist this Friday is Zanzi Designs. From 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., there will be live music by Myron Grove Duo and $2 Kinship Lager.
City Hall
The Citizen Artwork Exhibit on the second floor of City Hall will feature the student artist and Colorado Springs native Madison Nein. This exhibit is open from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center (FAC)
The FAC, located on the campus of Colorado College, will offer free admission to the museum from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. There will be live acoustic music by Pete Griggs and drinks and small plates available for purchase (credit card only).

Old Colorado City Art Walk
From April through December on the first Friday of the month, Old Colorado City hosts an Art Walk. The first event for 2022 is this Friday, April 1st, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Enjoy the warmer spring weather while exploring art galleries, meeting the artists, and watching live demonstrations.
