(Colorado Springs, CO) Easter is only a few weeks away, and El Paso County Parks is planning several holiday events for families of all ages. These activities fill up fast, so do not miss the opportunity to sign-up.

Nighttime EGGstravaganza

Egg hunting is fun, but nighttime egg hunts are awesome! El Paso County Parks is hosting a glow-in-the-dark egg hunt at Fox Run Regional Park (2110 Stella Drive, Colorado Springs) on Friday, April 15th.  There are three available time slots: 7:30, 8:00, and 8:30 p.m.

Working in a team of 2 to 6 people, find eggs that have the answers to win a prize.

It is recommended for ages 8+ and the cost is $5 per person. Prepaid registration is required. For more information and to register, go here

Chocolate Bunny Egg Hunt

On Saturday, April 16th, there will be an egg hunt for children ages two through ten (parent or guardian must be present) at both of the El Paso County Nature Centers.

At Fountain Creek Nature Center (320 Peppergrass Lane, Fountain, CO), kids will meet a live rabbit and learn about the animal through an interactive slide show. They will then hunt for eggs outside on the wooded trail and exchange them for a chocolate rabbit.

The cost is $6 per child (two accompanying adults per child are free), and there are three available time slots: 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., and 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.  Go here to register (scroll down to the “Chocolate Bunny Egg Hunt” option)

Bear Creek Nature Center (245 Bear Creek Road, Colorado Springs) will also have an egg hunt on April 16th. Their website says, “Join the Bunny Guide to search for eggs along the trail and exchange your finds for a chocolate bunny!”

The cost is $6 per person, and three available time slots remain from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., and 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Go here to register.

Good luck on the hunt!
