The "Friends of the Pikes Peak Library District" are having their popular bi-annual book sale this weekend, March 11-13, in Colorado Springs. The event will be at the East Library Community Room (5550 N. Union Blvd).
The sale will be open to members only on Friday, March 11th, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Memberships can be purchased at the door. Individual memberships are $20, a family one is $30, and a senior membership is $15 per year.
The sale will be open to the general public on Saturday and Sunday, and admission is free. Sale items will include gently used books, DVDs, and CDs that are all priced at $2 or less.
Come check out the great deals!
- Saturday, March 12th, the hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Sunday, March 13th, the hours are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
On Sunday, you can purchase a bag full of books for just $5! The "Friends of the Library" will provide the bag. This event is a great way to get some new (to you) reading material while also supporting the community.
The Friends of the Pikes Peak Library District was established in 1955 and has over 900 members. This group runs the bookstores at three of the local libraries including Penrose, Library 21C, and East. Their mission is to support, promote, and advocate for our wonderful library system.

With all the new reading material you find at the book sale, consider registering for the Adult Reading Program hosted by the Pikes Peak Library District. There are still a few weeks left! You can learn more about that here.
I'll see you at the library!
