No. 3 Oregon, No. 4 Ohio State and No. 5 Cincinnati all moved up one spot behind No. 1 Georgia and No. 2 Alabama in the second edition of the College Football Playoff rankings of the 2021 season, which were released Tuesday night.

The Michigan State Spartans were the only top-five team from the initial rankings to lose. The Spartans fell 40-29 to Purdue and are now ranked seventh. One spot ahead of them is Michigan. Michigan State beat Michigan 37-33 in Week 9. Purdue was rewarded with No. 19 ranking with the win.

Unbeaten Oklahoma remains at No. 8, while Notre Dame and Oklahoma State round out the top 10.

Mississippi State owned the No. 17 spot in the initial rankings, but the Bulldogs have fallen out after Saturday’s 31-28 loss at Arkansas. The Razorbacks are now ranked 25th. Wake Forest fell from No. 9 to No. 12 after losing 58-55 to North Carolina, while Auburn fell from No. 13 to No. 17 after losing 20-3 at No. 11 Texas A&M. The Bulldogs take on Auburn on Saturday.
