STARKVILLE, Miss. — Mississippi State’s 2022 football schedule was released Tuesday night by the Southeastern Conference.
The Bulldogs will open their 123rd season Saturday, Sept. 3, as they host the Memphis Tigers at Davis Wade Stadium.
MSU will play 12 games, including seven home games and five road games.
The Bulldogs’ nonconference schedule includes the season opener against Memphis, a road trip to play the Arizona Wildcats and two more home games against Bowling Green and East Tennessee State.
In SEC play, MSU will open with a trip to LSU before hosting Texas A&M and Arkansas on Oct 1 and Oct. 8, respectively. The Bulldogs will then make trips to Kentucky and Alabama before having a bye week on Oct. 29.
Following the bye week, MSU will host SEC foes Auburn and Georgia. The regular season will conclude on Thursday, Nov. 24, when MSU travels to rival Ole Miss for the annual Battle for the Golden Egg.
The Bulldogs have won twice in their last three trips to Ole Miss and have earned victories in three of the last four Thanksgiving matchups.
