Play Based Learning

We're a homeschool family where most of my children's curriculum is online. So whenever we find games or apps that are play based learning, we try to incorporate these as much as possible!

Here's a few that we have found!

Osmo - Osmo is an award winning education game system for your iPad or Tablet! Math, puzzles, coding, spelling, you name it, this system is amazing! We have several games from Osmo and we love every single one. There are several that I love to sit down and play with my kids. They have found the secret to make it fun without the kids realizing that it's "school" or "learning". I highly recommend this system, you can buy directly from their site or amazon!

ABC Mouse - Early Learning Academy - Another great one! My kids actually ask to play ABCMouse, because again, they don't associate it with learning or being a learning app. They have a learning path and certain assessment your child can do to make sure they are on the right path.

LingoKids - Play-learning right from their site. LingoKids is an app available on the app store and google play. We've used this app for a few years now and I would say that it's more geared to 3-5 year olds, just based on my own kids reactions. My 4 year old would spend all day on LingoKids! This app is more for language, reading, spelling.

There's so many more that I can't wait to try! If you have any recommendations please let me know.

We typically limit game play, but not screen time, we don't put a time limit on the educational play apps and games!
