This steakhouse has a 4.5 rating on Yelp. One reviewer from Ohio indicated it was the best steak she had ever eaten. Another from Oklahoma said,

Possibly the best steak I've had in the country. Every bit on par with places like Mesa Grill, DelMonico's, Peter Lugers and more. The seat and strong crust on the top of the filet, then butter smooth center.

How about some Maryland Style Lump Crab Cakes to start off with, then a 32 oz. Porterhouse steak? They have other steaks and portion sizes to choose from. This restaurant has interesting sauces and butters and plenty of sides to choose from. To better deliver on our promise of a refined atmosphere, proper dress is required."

A Yelp reviewer from California, recently wrote:

We were in St Louis for 5 nights, only had dinner twice. Both dinners were at Hamilton's. If there had been time for a third dinner it would have been at Hamilton's!

Atmosphere is amazing, total throwback to when we had true steakhouses. White tablecloth’s nice bar area, romantic booths. Food was exceptional. Wine list is great for any budget. (Source.)

Being from California, it raised my standard even higher and they over delivered. The freshness, flavor and texture was all up to par. Our main course consisted of the 12oz filet mignon, Chilean sea bass and truffle Mac and cheese. (Source.)

There are over two dozen Eddie V's in the states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and where it started in Texas.. The first Eddie V's appeared in Austin Texas 23 years ago. It was opened by Guy Villavaso and Larry Foles. Finding a good steakhouse

When you decide to find the best steakhouse in your city or travels, you have to look for the key elements that set them apart from the rest.

When my family moved to Kansas City, we went to Hereford House, Jess & Jim's, and Savoy Grill (before it became The Savoy at 21c). Steakhouses have evolved since then and there are more options available now.

My father would probably say that you could have a great steak in front of you, but without quality service, the tone of the experience can change. When you visit a good steakhouse, the owner and staff, if good, are aware of the value of exceptional service.

A customer wants to feel important and taken care of from the moment he or she enters the restaurant. It's a comfortable feeling when you know whoever is taking care of you is knowledgeable and attentive. Your waiter or waitress should be good at providing recommendations of any part of the menu and you hope either is familiar with wine pairing suggestions.

When you go to a top-notch steakhouse with a full wallet, you want to know the restaurant has the finest quality steaks. At least, you're thinking or hoping that's going to be the case.

Also, the atmosphere in the restaurant plays a role. You want to feel invited and definitely want to feel comfortable. When you feel comfortable, it makes it easy to enjoy your meal. The bottom line in finding an excellent steak location includes stellar service, top-quality steaks, ambiance, and friendly and knowledgeable staff.
