GloWild is in its second year at the Kansas City Zoo. It opened on September 28 and will last through December 30. The theme for this year is Around the World.

GloWild is an evening event and promises to be bigger this year. When visiting, you’ll walk through a path that's about a mile long to see displays providing lots of photo options.

GloWild is a separate ticket event, but you can purchase a ticket in addition to zoo attendance. Brightly colored lanterns will light up your path. With the Around the World theme, you can explore different cultures. For children, this will be an experience to delight their imaginations.

When this lantern experience began in the fall of 2022, it was said it was going to be the largest of its type in the Midwest. This year the massive steel and silk works of art will open everyone's eyes to cultures of all the continents. Detailed illuminated displays can bring a wow of pleasure to anyone plus for many, this can be a new and different experience for the family.
