Chris Noth feels protective of his good friend and co-star, Sarah Jessica Parker. And Just Like That... Instagram Page

Sex in the City star Chris Noth (Mr. Big) cannot help but feel protective of his good friend, Sarah Jessica Parker (Carrie) as And Just Like That... fans flock to social media to attack her over the fallout with Kim Cattrall (Samantha). He said the situation has made him uncomfortable, and he wishes the women could find a common ground, so she could reprise her iconic role on the HBO show.

Noth has a close friendship with Parker, and he doesn't recognize the person Cattrall described. According to CNN, it all started in 2018 when Cattrall's brother suddenly passed away. Parker offered her condolences and told her if she needed anything to get in contact with her. That's when Cattrall launched a social media war with her former co-star, one that would keep her from reprising the role of Samantha in the series reboot.

Kim Made It Known, Sarah Isn't Her Friend

After Sarah offered her condolences after Kim's brother passed away, Cattrall's response took everyone by surprise. She accused Park of only pretending to be a nice person, when she was a mean girl at heart.

"I don't need your love or support at this tragic time @sarahjessicaparker. My Mom asked me today 'When will that @sarahjessicaparker, that hypocrite, leave you alone? Your continuous reaching out is a painful reminder of how cruel you really were then and now. Let me make this VERY clear. (If I haven't already) You are not my family. You are not my friend. So I'm writing to tell you one last time to stop exploiting our tragedy in order to restore your 'nice girl' persona," Cattrall posted to Instagram.

Noth wasn't sure why Cattrall felt that way about Parker. He said he's never had a problem with Parker, and she is one of the most professional actors on the HBO set, then and now. He told FOX News he feels protective of her because a sizeable chunk of the show's fanbase sided with Kim.

Yes, Sarah Is Older, But So Are The Fans

Another thing Noth wants to clear up is the constant social media buzz about how much older Sarah, Cynthia Nixon (Miranda), and Kristin Davis (Charlotte) are on the Sex in the City's reboot trailer. He acknowledges they've all aged, but he reminded the fans they are older too. And he thinks, even though they are 20 years older, the ladies on the show are beautiful, just as they on the show, which aired 1998-2004.

As for Samantha's absence on the show, Noth said the ladies will discuss what happened in the first episode. He thinks it will resonate with many people in their 40-50s, as sometimes the friends you've had a long time, just fizzle out. You outgrow each other or simply lose touch.
