2022 is shaping up to be an interesting year in the ebike industry with lots of new models coming out almost each week. Here's a roundup of what's been announced lately.
C3STROM Astro E-moped
The ASTRO is a new Class 3 e-bike, which have higher speeds than ordinary models. It has been designed with a special emphasis on innovative aesthetics; its design is not your typical ebike. Rather this is more an an electric moped style ride.
It is equipped with a 1040Wh long-life battery, using the latest Samsung 21700 cell, which the company says delivers 78 miles of riding range. In addition, ASTRO PRO has developed a 4A fast charger to achieve quicker charging — it only takes 4-5 hours to fully charge the battery. The lighting system resembles that of a car, with ultra-bright headlights, making the bike very safe to ride in all conditions.
Blix Ultra
If you are looking for an affordable dual battery option with a more traditional ebike look consider the Blix Ultra. They describe it as "a new all-terrain fat tire ebike with unmatched versatility designed around a dual-purpose concept for on-and off-road riding."
It's equipped with several high-performance features, including dual batteries with up to 1,344Wh capacity for a range up to 80 miles per charge, a strong 750w rear hub-motor with 90Nm torque making it one of the most powerful hub-motors available, 5-level pedal assist, throttle and a top speed of 28mph. I really love the look of this ebike. I gravitate to more traditional designs like this vs the moped style ebikes.
Miclon Cybertrack
Miclon, an Amazon ebike seller, has released its new Cybertrack 100 electric mountain bike (E-MTB) with 2x faster charge on Amazon. This is a 36 volt system ebike featuring a 36V 10.4AH lithium-ion battery charges rapidly in three hours and is capable of powering the e-bike for ranges between 30 to 37 miles on a single charge.
