Last month a few hearty souls braved 48 degree temps to hit the Farmington Canal Heritage Trail beginning in Hamden, CT. This video captures some of the meetup and ride footage.
Since it was a chilly day we just rode about 8 miles into downtown New Haven near the Peabody Museum and turned around there. All told, we did 16 miles in what was our first group ride of the season. We've done various parts of this paved trail which covers the entire state of Connecticut from New Haven to the Massachusetts state line. Check out this ride from last year.
Ebikes in attendance: Lectric XP, Onyx, Rattan LM 750, Rad Power Bike and a few others.
The Connecticut Ebikers Group conducts monthly rides throughout the state. The next one will be at the Bikes & Beers event at Two Roads in Stratford May 14th. There is a fee to participate and we'll be riding along other road ebikes for a 15 mile loop.

About the FCHC Trail
The fifty-six miles of the Farmington Canal Heritage Trail (FCHT) and the eighteen miles of the Farmington River Trail constitute the most picturesque and historic greenways in New England. The Connecticut section from New Haven to Suffield runs through eleven towns and connects with many more biking and walking trails. The FCHT has been designated a Community Millennium Trail under the federal Millennium Trails Initiative based upon its special value to the communities it serves.
