Lions, Tigers and Bears!!! Our Visit to the Wild Animal Sanctuary.

We headed up to Keensburg, CO to visit the Wild Animal Sanctuary where we walked the 3 mile upper walkway to view all of the animals. Bears, tigers, lions, lynx, wolves and even camels live in this 9700 square foot refuge. Amazingly, all the animals here have been rescued, (including 39 tigers and 3 bears from Joe Exotic's place in OK.) The animals look healthy and happy! The staff was very friendly and the Sanctuary is clean. Make sure to bring binoculars, as many of the animals are at a further distance. If you're looking for something a bit different than the typical city zoo, give this place a visit! An exciting travelogue of fun activities in the State of Colorado. We love all things Colorado, including finding new and unique activities to do with our family in and outside of the Denver Metro Area. We enjoy discovering new dining experiences and fascinating adventures that are off the beaten path! We also love all things Disney, such as movies, Theme Parks and Cruising.
