Some people say lightning can never strike twice. I am here to say thatthat is false.
The owners and creators of Chicago Culinary Kitchen have done it again with their brand new second restaurant.
The name of their restaurant is Pink’s Fresh Seafood in Palatine, Illinois.
I have always been a fan of Kristina and Greg Gaardbo, owners of Chicago Culinary Kitchen, and now Pink’s Fresh Seafood.
Their way of thinking out of the box, in terms of their menu and cooking style, is to give you food that will blow your mind, in taste and presentation.
I recently was able to stop by Pink’s in Palatine. I wanted to try a number of their drinks and also their popular items.
I started with their oyster shooters. The oysters were some of the freshest oysters I have ever had. I, myself, am not particularly fond of raw oysters, but these totally changed my mind.
In between rounds of food, I tried many of their tropical cocktails. All were so delicious and refreshing.
I then moved on to their Chicago style shrimp. The shrimp was extremely fresh in the breading. It had a great crunch. The fries were also delicious.
I had a bowl of their clam chowder, which was so creamy and rich in flavor. It definitely was one of my favorite clam chowder‘s I’ve ever had. The clam flavor definitely stood out.
I moved on now to something much more decadent, which was their lobster roll that comes smothered in melted butter. The lobster was so delicious. I honestly could have had three or four of these. They were that good. The quality of the lobster really stands out.
Greg then came out with the largest grouper I had ever seen in my life. He explained that he smoked this grouper for 24 hours and used Asian spices. When I tell you this was one of the best bites of food I have ever had in my life I am not lying. The grouper had so many complex flavors. The delicateness of the meat was flaky and juicy, not dry. I honestly could say I could eat this dish every day of my life.
To finish the night off, I had a slice of their Key Lime pie. The pie had such a delicious tart flavor of lime. Everything tasted so fresh. I need to stop back when they have their Ube cheesecake in stock. I also heard this is a favorite amongst guests.
I honestly cannot emphasize enough how fast you need to check this place out and try it for yourself.
The dining room is small, but there is seating at the bar. I recommend getting there early just to secure a table.
Pink’s Fresh Seafood in Palatine gets a rare rating of 10 out of 10..
