Everyone knows as a Chicagoan there are three things that make a great St. Patrick's day in Chicago.

I am going to give you my Top 3 picks for the best places to go and get a corned beef sandwich this St. Patrick's Day in Chicago and Suburbs.

The sandwiches here are massive and the corned beef is sliced extra thin. The corned beef is always tender and not fried and the flavors are some of the best-corned beef you can get in Chicago. I also want to add out of the three delis I am listing that this place has the most East Coast deli vibe out of them all. (Side note: don't forget to pair this sandwich with their homemade chips)

The Onion Roll - 6935 North Ave Oak Park, IL 60302

This deli has been in business for over 50 years, so they must be doing something right. They make all types of specialty sandwiches, but my favorite is their corned beef. The sandwiches are huge and the amount of corned beef they put into their sandwiches is obscene. The meat is always moist and delicious every time I have ordered. The staff is always friendly and if you are in the mood for something other than a typical sandwich have them put it on one of their huge and delicious homemade bagels. This deli also offers all your favorite Jewish deli favorites like Matzo ball soup and chopped liver. Don’t forget to try their Lox.

Manny’s Cafeteria and Delicatessen - 1141 S Jefferson St Chicago, IL 60607

This place is the Mecca of Jewish delis for many Chicagoans. It is not uncommon to see celebrities visiting from out of town to try Manny's world-famous corned beef sandwich. They have been around for as long as I can remember. They have some of the best corned beef you can get anywhere. The ordering process is exactly like it says in its name cafeteria-style. When you enter, grab a tray and work your way down their line of heavenly choices. I will make a suggestion to definitely try their potato pancakes with your sandwich. Also, they are famous for them.
