Lind Balri says she was abused because of The Exorcist
Linda Blair is the latest actor to look back into history and determine that she was mistreated. Blair claims that she endured child abuse because she filmed The Exorcist which was released in December 1973. Blair told TODAY that she agreed to be on set for the 2023 reboot of the film The Exorcist: Believer, to protect the two young female stars Olivia O'Neill and Lidya Jewett.
“Everyone felt like I was the devil. People were unnerved by me. They were confused by me,” she says. “I’m on the record saying don’t ever do that again to another child. It was child abuse.”
Is Blair, however, able to protect the girls and prevent the strange occurrence that happened in the first film?
William Freidkin says strange occurrences happened
Syfy spoke to director William Friedkin who said the original film was plagued with bad things like a fire, death, and unexplained situations.
"I'm not a convert to the occult, but after all I've seen on this film, I definitely believe in demonic possession. There are things that cannot be treated by medical or psychiatric means,"
Could history repeat?
If Blair and Friedkin experienced all they have claimed regarding The Exorcist why would they risk history repeating with two young girls, cast and crew in The Exorcist: Believer?
