Virginia already has deep fakes covered

AI-generated deep fake images of teenagers have been increasing according to Yahoo. Parents and teens in Virginia should be aware of this practice where realistic photos of teens who are completely sans clothing are being passed around but they are created with an app and phony.

According to an analysis by independent researcher Genevieve Oh that was shared with The Associated Press, more than 143,000 new deepfake videos were posted online this year, which surpasses every other year combined.

In 2019 Virginia expanded its law against non-consensual images to include deep fakes which is yet another way modern technology is being abused and harming our children.
