Eggnog cookies anyone?

Eggnog is a staple of the Christmas season for many Virginians and this state is where alcohol is said to have been added to the beverage. All Recipes has a recipe for using leftover Eggnog or purchasing it from a store to make cookies.

Please note this recipe does not include alcohol but if you enjoy your eggnog spiked you can always add the beverage of your choice.

Be responsible if you add alcohol

When American settlers came from Europe they drank eggnog plain and legend has it that the father of this nation was also the person who first created eggnog with liquor.

The View From The Great Island has a recipe that is supposed to be identical to the one George Washington used in Monticello in the 1700s. Eggnog with cookies by the same name sounds like a holiday treat but if you add the alcohol please be responsible and don't drink and drive.
