Virginia but not its localities are in 2 Hallmark Christmas films

Hallmark films many of its holiday movies in British Columbia Canada although they are set in other locations. Cameron Mathison who portrays Drew Cain on General Hospital is at times off-screen because he is filming Christmas for Hallmark in Canada. Two of the network's Christmas stories take place in Virginia but their locations are completely fictitious.

A Blue Ridge Mountain Christmas was released in 2019 and takes place at a Hotel in Shenandoah Falls Virginia which is not a real Virginia location. Coming Home for Christmas was released in 2017 and does not even name a fake city or town. This movie is said to take place in a Virginia Countryside which could be anywhere.

Fake names of Virginia locations are probably utilized so that there will be no misrepresentation of an actual city or town. Even so, it's nice for the state to be utilized in Hallmark holiday films.
